"O Lord, who shall sojourn in Your tent? Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?" Psalm 15:1

A Reflection Before the Service

  • Turning your nose up at a genuine and sincere gesture of hospitality is no way to travel or to make friends around the world.”

    - Anthony Bourdain

    "Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”

     Hebrews 13:1-2

    “So, friends, every day do something that won't compute...Give your approval to all you cannot understand...Ask the questions that have no answers. Put your faith in two inches of humus that will build under the trees every thousand years...Laugh. Be joyful though you have considered all the facts....Practice resurrection.”

The Call to Worship

  • Psalm 15

     O Lord, who shall sojourn in Your tent?
        Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?

      He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
        and speaks truth in his heart;
     who does not slander with his tongue
        and does no evil to his neighbor,
    nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
           in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
    but who honors those who fear the Lord;
        who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
    who does not put out his money at interest
        and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
    He who does these things shall never be moved.
