PRYouth: FORGE – High School Retreat

As you may know, our High Schoolers are going on a weekend retreat called FORGE this December! Registration has just opened up.
What is FORGE?
  •  The same group of PCA churches that host MORPH (our Spring Middle School retreat) are coming to provide a similar experience to our high schoolers. FORGE is a unique weekend where our high schoolers can have fun with youth from all over South Florida, build deeper friendships between themselves, and understand the Gospel in a personal way. We’re calling the retreat FORGE because we desire to use this weekend to forge our youth more and more into the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Where will we be staying?
  • We’ll be attending Camp Sparta in Sebring Florida. This is the same camp that we went to last year and you can find more about their camp HERE. Our girls will have a cabin and our boys will have another cabin on the other side of the campsite. Camp Sparta has lots of fun activities on its campus for us to enjoy, like tubing, blobing, kayaking, and paintball (Paintball has an additional cost of $35).
When is FORGE?
  • December 1st-3rd. We’ll be leaving on Friday afternoon, December 1st, and then leaving camp Sparta at 11am Sunday, December 3rd.

Are there going to be chaperones?

  • Yes! Outside of myself, we have two wonderful moms chaperoning from our church. I’m currently also looking for one more male chaperone.

What’s the cost?

  • $215. This covers, lodging, food, supplies, gas, our speaker/worship leader, activities, and their shirt. Scholarships are available. Camp Sparta also has a snack shack students are welcome to bring money for, and each student will want to bring about $10 for lunch on the way back.

When do I need to register?

  • The deadline to sign up your child is Sunday November 19th.
