Today’s text takes place in that second generation when Miriam and Aaron have died and the young Israelites are starting to face the people of the Land and have to trust God to give it to them. THIS is a story about seeing the UNSEEN… Here we meet a character who doesn’t fit into our categories but is important – he gets a big chunk of the book: Balaam.
