"Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms." Psalms 95:1-2

"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me."
King David (Psalm 51:5)
“Because human beings fell through pride, it used humility in healing them. We were deceived by the wisdom of the serpent; we are freed by the foolishness of God. But just as that was called wisdom yet was foolishness to those who despised God, so this so-called foolishness is wisdom to those who overcome the devil. We made bad use of immortality, and so we died; Christ made good use of mortality, and so we live. This disease entered through a corrupted female mind; healing emerged from an intact female body.”
Saint Augustine (On Christian Teaching: Page 31)
“There are other likenesses between Christ and Adam, namely, that just as Adam’s body was formed without intercourse, so Christ’s body from the Virgin. Again, just as the woman was taken from the side of the sleeping Adam, so from the side of the sleeping Christ flowed blood and water (John 19:34), which signify the sacraments by which the Church was formed.”
Thomas Aquinas (Commentary on Romans Chapter 5: Page 174)
“We didn’t start the fire.”
Billy Joel song title from the album, Storm Front, 1989
The Call To Worship
The Call To Worship
The Ninety-fifth Psalm, vv. 1-7a
O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD,
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God
And a great King above all gods,
In whose hand are the depths of the earth,
The peaks of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, for it was He who made it,
And His hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us worship and bow down,
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.
