Today, Jesus Christ’s further opens up His idea of the chief good (“summum bonum”). He shows how the greater righteousness of the New Covenant, the Completeness of the Father (“you will be complete as your heavenly Father is complete” 5.48; see also 1 Peter 1.16), AND the future union of heaven and earth – how it all affects our STUFF…possessions, treasure, daily needs and our emotional responses/attitudes toward these things, especially anxiety, worry, fear, greed, desire and perspective.
Let’s look at:
1) Multiplicity is OUT
2) Simplicity is IN
3) Singularity is the KEY
