You’ll notice that there are four quotations in today’s passage and I’m going to use the four quotes (vv.4, 5, 8 and 10) as a framework for this teaching.

Each of these quotations contains something that’s recognizable TO and shared BY virtually every follower of Jesus Christ. Each quote expresses a component, a chapter, a stage or level in the practice of (what Francis Schaeffer called) “True Spirituality.”

Here are the four quotes/points:
1) “Launch out into the deep”,
2) “But I will”,
3) “ Go away from me” and
4) “Do not fear”
