David Stubbs in his great work on The Book of Numbers comments very simply…gravely… “It is Israel’s darkest hour.” Something happens in THIS rebellion that will keep them OUT of the Promised Land for forty years… A whole generation will die in the wilderness… and we’re left wondering, “WHAT was the sin that was so serious in the sight of God?”

…Let’s look at the SIN OF ALL SINS:
1) Bitter Root
2) Strange Fruit and
3) Modern Pursuit
