In these three chapters (11, 12 & 13), and we only read a small section, two things are happening – the Exodus EVENT is taking place and the commemoration of that EVENT is commanded and regulated. In it we see something that for many in our modern society is missing – the power of a defining story and the necessity of THE defining story for the flourishing of lives, families, churches and even whole cultures.
