The Scapegoat (Atonement)

Sin has a price.

Modern people may have a problem with that NOTION but if you think about it, someone ALWAYS pays a price for sin… if a boy throws the proverbial baseball through the proverbial window… either he or the homeowner will pay.

If someone hurts you… and later, in a conversation, another person brings up the name of the person who hurt you… YOU will then determine WHO will pay for that past hurt – either you will roll your eyes at the mention of the offender’s name or say something negative about the person who damaged you (IN THAT CASE YOU ARE MAKING HIM PAY) or you will not roll your eyes…not say something negative and it will hurt you to deny that impulse and YOU WILL BE PAYING THE PRICE OF FORGIVENESS – but someone always pays…someone always covers the cost… such is the metaphysical law of guilt and sin.

Today, ATONEMENT –
the Sequence,
the Significance and
the Consequence.
