we have to admit: spiritual certainty/exclusivity has actually been the cause of intolerance and fear and fanaticism… and to maintain it some people have had to put on blinders, “I don’t want to know what other people believe – they’re all wrong!”

And we MAY THINK that the only alternative to this is to say, “Hey! Your guess is as good as mine… all ways are equally valid – all religions basically teach the same thing.” BUT that’s not true and unsatisfying.

In Isaiah’s mysterious Character, “the Servant of YHWH” we meet a different approach to spiritual certainty. I think you’ll find it both challenging and immensely refreshing. Let’s look at it under three simple (overused?) headings:

1) Head
2) Heart
3) Hands
